Check out the great things happening at Lee Stream School!
Principal's Welcome
Kia ora and welcome to Lee Stream School – our small but mighty rural gem!
Nestled in the hills of Lee Stream, our school sits at the heart of a strong, supportive community. We’re more than just a school – we’re a hub where kids, whānau, and locals come together. Whether it’s a fundraiser, a garden project, or a shared lunch, there’s always something happening and everyone pitches in.
With just a handful of students, we’re able to offer a warm, inclusive environment where every learner is known, valued, and given the chance to shine. Our school values – Whanaungatanga (relationships), Ako (learning), Rangatiratanga (leadership), Kaitiakitanga (guardianship), Mahi Tahi (collaboration), and Manaakitanga (care) – guide everything we do and help shape confident, capable kids.
Learning at Lee Stream is hands-on and real. From structured literacy and garden-to-table learning to bike rides, bush walks, science experiments, and local service projects – we keep it meaningful, active, and fun. And of course, no day is complete without a visit from our much-loved school dog, Lulu, who’s always ready for a cuddle or a classroom visit.
With excellent teacher-to-student ratios, we’re able to tailor learning to each child, helping them grow in confidence and capability. There’s space to lead, space to explore, and space to just be a kid.
Thanks for stopping by to learn more about our awesome wee school. We’d love to welcome you for a visit – come and see what makes Lee Stream so special.
Ngā mihi,
Miss Kate
